2014 Chrysler Town and Country with the 3.6. I went to the dealer with a ticking sound. Needed to replace the cam followers, aka rockers and cam shaft, at 42k miles and a week and a half out of warranty.

Chrysler would not pick up the $1k bill to fix the problem. No more cars from Chrysler!

Town & Country 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

My 2014 Chrysler Town & Country has a terrible knocking in the engine. I had this same problem with my 2012 Chrysler Town & Country. I took it to the mechanic and he thought is was the lifters. All the lifters were replaced and that did not fix the problem. The mechanic suggested that I get rid of the mini van immediately and that is what I did. I found out later on that the engine on the 2012 blew after 3,000 more miles had been put on the engine. Now, my 2014 is making the same noise. I am wondering if there is a defect with these engines. Has anyone else had this problem. I have contacted Chrysler but have not heard back from them.
