The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle started overheating, emitted white smoke from the exhaust and then shut off. The contact stated upon attempting to restart the vehicle to pull into the driveway, the vehicle started overheating and emitted white smoke. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the head gasket blew and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact associated the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V234000 (Electrical System). However, the VIN was not included. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist as the vehicle was not covered under warranty or recall. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
