Upon reaching his destination, the contact noticed that a piece of paneling from the left passenger sliding door had come off of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that due to the climate in which he lives, the extreme heat must have caused the paneling to melt. The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The contact took the vehicle to prestige Chrysler Jeep Dodge (6520 centennial center blvd, las vegas, nv 89149, 702-625-7812) for an unrelated matter. While there, the contact was given a $200 estimate for repairing the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 52,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler Town and country. While driving various speeds, the automatic passenger door opened without warning intermittently. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The manufacturer was notified. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 94,000.
