This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Front struts are noisy and mechanic says the rubber top plates are destroyed. They are only 4 years old and car only has 20,200 miles on it. I feel this is a part problem from the vendor since new, as newly purchased struts from monroe have a lifetime replacement warranty. With the mileage on the T&C being so low, and Chrysler's warranty not exceeding 3yrs/36,000miles this should not happen. The car sits in the shade because of tree cover, so heat should not be the issue. It is used as a local sedan would normally be used with very limited usage. The warranty service was pulled by Chrysler but they never detected this issue. I am a vietnam vet with hearing issues, however the front end noise has increased until I took it today to a mechanic. 1-2-18. Two struts have been quoted at $800.
