The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler Town and country. While driving at an unknown speeds, a roaring noise was heard from the rear of the vehicle without warning. The contact looked underneath the vehicle and noticed that the rear brake pads were worn, metal to metal and caused the rear calipers to stick. The contact, who was an independent mechanic, replaced the brake pads and called several unknown dealers to purchase the rear calipers, however, none of the dealers had calipers in stock. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the brakes were not fully repaired due to lack of parts. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
