I purchased 2012 Chrysler Town & Country and in less than a month, this car just shuts off without warning anywhere. It stopped in the mall parking lot on two separate occasions. Again in the middle of the street and I was so embarrassed. And this was when I was on my way to a Chrysler Dealership to tell them about this problem.

They are saying that this issue is not on the Recall list but I found many other owners with the same issue. In my opinion Chrysler should be held responsible for these issues because this is definitely Not a coincidence that the same problem is occurring with the same Car make and model. We the consumer should not have to be burden with what looks like a manufacturing problem,

So incredibly frustrating! We have a certified warranty - and they thought it was the Power train computer module failing - telling us it’s a covered part. So we got a rental because the part says 45 days or less to be delivered thanks to Covid. They found a used part to try in the meantime, and it didn’t work. Told us it’s the tipm module - which of course isn’t covered under the certified warranty - and now our rental isn’t either. Instead of a $0 bill - we’re out $1200! Why hasn’t Chrysler recalled these terrible tipm’s??!! We’ve only got 91k miles on it. Ugh.

On January 3rd while about an hour away from home at one of my daughters basketball games, I go out to my car to head home and when I push the start button, the car just clicks but it wont turn over. I had to push the start engine button about 10 times before thanks goodness it finally started! This was the 3rd time this has happened with 2 of the 3 times me being at least an hour away from home. When it occurred on January 3rd it was the 3rd time this exact same thing has happened. The first time is happened was in late September/early October.

I took my van to a trusted garage. The alternator, battery, starter and fuel pump all checked out fine. After doing some research it seems like I might need to replace the TIPM module?

With so many issues with the TIPM how in the world can this not be under recall for my vehicle!!!! Come on Chrysler make this right!!!!!!!!

My car started acting up when I went to start my van. I was told I had a bad battery. I replaced the battery and the next morning, the van was completely dead. I had to have it jumped before it would start. I took the van where I had bought the battery as I thought maybe I received a bad battery. Per Sears, they checked the battery and it was fine. He stated that I probably had a bad "TIPM" module as they have seen many Chrysler's with this issue. When I turn my van off, I hear a humming sound towards the back of the van where the fuel pump is. Then, I wait a few hours and try and start my van and the whole van is completely dead.
