While in for service on several other issues with this vehicle I mentioned there is rust forming in a few areas of the hood. They were surprised but looked into replacing it. they indicated they would order the new hood, take it to the paint body shop to replace it and then call us to install it. 3-4 months went by and While at the dealership again, I asked about it and they indicated it had arrived but nothing ever happened with it so they sent it back. They then indicated they would order another and call within a few weeks - about 60 days and no call.
Part of our concern is that if there is rust forming where we can see it, what is happening in the many areas we cannot see. Does anyone have a suggestion for how and who can examine the entire vehicle, including areas not accessible to me the consumer, so that if there are other trouble spots I can have it all dealt with (likely a different dealership). Also, does anyone have any experience with other areas of this vehicle rusting out?
