Shortly after we purchased our 2011 Town & Country from CarMax, we were driving home on a hot summer day at about 70mph with a really strong cross wind. Suddenly, there was this horrific wind noise/moan from the passenger side of the windshield that lasted for about 30 miles. In order for the noise to occur, we've found that we must be driving at high speed (our normal is 70mph), very warm/hot temperature, and high cross-winds. The winds must be coming directly at us or across the vehicle from left-to-right. When we arrived home I got some some electrical tape and put it in the van. The next day we had the same noise, so in an attempt to delete each area where the noise might be coming from, I started with the passenger mirror joints. I covered each joint/seam/gap with black electrical tape. Didn't help. I removed that tape and put some down the passenger side of the windshield against both the windshield and the black plastic windshield surround. Pulled back onto the freeway, and back up to 70mph. Still the loud noise. I stopped and peeled off the electrical tape and moved it out to the gap between the black plastic windshield surround and the A pillar, covering the gap between the two parts. Pulled back onto the highway and back up to 70mph. NO NOISE!!! I took the van to the dealer (Larry H. Miller Chrysler in Albuquerque) and explained the problem and my quick-fix to the service advisor. They adjusted the door. A day or so later, without the electrical tape covering the gap, the noise was back. Took the van back - they tried something else. Still didn't work. Took the van back - they removed and re-sealed the windshield. Still didn't work. Took the van back - they put some silicone along the gap. During winter, no noise (air temp wasn't high enough). Temp warmed back up, noise returned. Took the van back. They can't duplicate the noise. I gave up and put electrical tape on both sides of the windshield covering the gap between the black plastic windshield surround and the A pillar. Same high speed (70mph), 85+ outside temperatures, 40 - 50mph cross winds. NO NOISE. The van has been at this dealer at least 5 times for this problem and THEY CAN"T FIX IT!!! I've talked with other Chrysler T&C or Dodge Caravan owners of this same body style and they have the same problem. There must be some type of corrective action Chrysler Corp can do to make this right. Other than door rattles and overhead DVD Screen rattles, we're very pleased with this T&C.
