Our front windshield washer stopped working while on a trip this summer. We had the local Chrysler dealer check the problem when we returned home (Aug 26th). They said we needed a lever switch and they would order one. They charged us for the labour to find the problem. We didn't hear back from them, so we called them 3 weeks later. They said they didn't enter the part into their computer when it arrived, so they missed calling us back. No problem. We took it in again. They called us back saying the part wasn't the problem. They installed it and it still didn't work. We made another appointment and took it back in so they could search for the problem again. They informed us today that it is the internal relay in the multi-purpose module. The multi-purpose module controls many different functions. All the functions work except the windshield washer to the front. However, the whole module needs to be replaced to fix the washer. The module will cost $800 and the labour will be about another $200. We've had to pay $220 so far, for them to find the problem. We refused to pay another $1000 to fix a windshield washer. We can't believe Chrysler would manufacture a module where when one circuit of many malfunctions, the whole module is replaced for $1200. Quite the cost for a windshield washer!
