This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
On 3 occasions, when I turn off the ignition and remove the key from my 2010 Chrysler Town and country, the car continues to run as if the key was still in the car. It takes over an hour of fiddling with reinserting the key to get it to actually turn off. This is dangerous because I cannot park and leave my car while it is still running without a key even in the ignition. Someone could get inside and drive away without needing a key....not to mention carbon monoxide poisoning in a garage. I have brought the car to the dealer twice for the problem, but they have been unable to find a cause.
