While driving my van would shut off. It would always crank again. This began happening in 2018. No warning lamps or indicators went off. The van just died. I could not tie it to any particular road conditions. I eventually quit driving the van because I realized it to be unsafe. I could not jeopardize the lives of others or my grandchildren. The local Chrysler dealer could not diagnose a problem so they could fix nothing. The same scenario happened with a local mechanic. I recently took it to different mechanics who explored the ignition switch as an issue.

The headlights went out on me. I confirmed it was not the bulbs. I confirmed it was not the switch. Highbeams work. low beams do not. Further research indicates that this is a very very common problem with the TIPMs totally integrated power module. it is not just a relay or fuse. it is a very expensive part that has a long delay. https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/2010-chrysler-town-country-tipm-16614/

Greetings, June 30, 2023 incident of our van stalling and shutting off while driving. The traction control warning light comes on, van automatically slows down and shuts off. When this happened, unable to steer, no control of brakes or accelerator along with being dangerous. Took vehicle into Midas as they are closest to my work. After testing they determined it was the WIN Module. Since June 30th 2023 to September 10th 2023 this issue happened over a dozen times. Luckily, no one was ever directly behind us and we were able to pull over safely, shut van off, wait one minute and start up again then was fine. The issue always happened while traveling under 30 MPH. I am so grateful we, nor anyone else was injured. Midas informed me back early August 2023 that there was a recall on this exact same module, but recall didn't include our van. I spoke with Russ Darrow Dodge and let them know about our issue and got vehicle in and WIN module replaced on September 12, 2023.

While driving at posted limits, the van will shut off without warning. This has happened 5 times. We have been fortunate that no cars have been following close behind, so we have been able to pull the van off the side of the road, stop and re-start the van. I have had a dealer and another mechanic look at the ignition and attempt to trouble shoot. However, nothing is ever found. This does not happen with any consistency...it is very random.

My A/C Compressor Unit froze up. Tearing my Serpentine Belt. Causing my engine to not run at all. My Driver side window Switch wiring melted. So now my window does not function at all. My vehicle doesn't go over 40mph and no longer shifts properly. Most of my engine wiring has melted. I have replaced the MAP Sensor, but it says there is a problem with the circuit. Also says a problem with the Barometric sensor, which I have yet to find. I had to replace the water pump. My cooling fan has totally stopped working. My key sticks in the ignition. I have replaced the battery and starter. I have also replaced the ignition coil pack, Spark plugs and wires. I thought this may be the reason it was having issues starting, but it still continues. My vehicle will studder or stall out while driving. Causing it to lose power, steering. Sometimes the van just doesn't start. Or it will seem like it wants to start, but it doesn't "fire." Sounding like a starter issue, but the starter has already been replaced

At random times, the ignition will shut down while driving, causing the power steering and power brakes to lose function. The only way to correct this is to shift gear into neutral and restart the engine. This has occurred while driving in town and on the highway without any warning or warning lights on the dashboard. This could result in a crash and harm to passengers due to not having control over steering and brakes while the vehicle is in motion. This problem has occurred multiple times in the past year or so. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who ran a diagnostic, but was unable to identify the issue and it would not replicate. I researched the vehicle symptoms, and found a recall from 2015 that related to the same issues (TSB# R03, WIN Modual FOBIK replacement). All additional keys and keychain/FOB were removed from the ignition key to see if this would help. Since the issue was still happening, it was then taken to a Chrysler dealership, where again the diagnostics did not reveal the issue and they were unable to replicate the problem. Multiple attempts made to discuss this issue with Chrysler without any assistance in finding a solution thus far. This vehicle is normally driven daily as a family car and regularly transports children. This is a huge safety concern and issue that needs to be addressed and fixed, as the vehicle is unsafe to drive at this point and the potential liability is great.

The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start immediately; however, after several attempts, the vehicle started. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 77 MPH, the vehicle lost electrical power inadvertently. The contact stated that he immediately shifted into neutral (N) and restarted the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle responded as needed; however, the failure recurred several times while driving on the same day. The contact stated that he slightly touched the key fob and the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) module needed to be replaced and that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V139000 (Electrical System). The vehicle was then taken to the dealer and the contact was charged a fee to replace Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) module. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist because the vehicle was out of warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 179,000.

My 2010 Chrysler Town and Country has been showing signs of an electrical issue since I purchased it. It first started with the windshield wipers and the radio coming on and off by itself. As time went on, the vehicle would lose power as I was driving. When I attempted to accelerate, the engine would rev up but the van would continue to lose speed. It continued this way for a while, until eventually it started shutting down. I have to try to get the van on the side of the road before it shuts off and restart it. Most of the time, it will restart and drive like normal. However, it wouldn't restart and had to be taken to a mechanic. At this point, the doors on the van will open and close automatically; including the tailgate. I have kids and I'm worried that the doors will open while I'm driving on the highway. Even worst, I have been in several situations where the car has stalled or shut off without the person behind me knowing I'm having an issue. This has happened in traffic within city limits, and also on the busy highway. This could have led to an accident. Again, I have children and this is very unsafe. Additionally, I've already been through one vehicular electrical fire where I could have died. This is unsafe. The issue is with the control computer (I believe it may be called the ECM); which is located somewhere above the driver's side front tire. I've spent thousands of dollars since purchasing the van in 2016 trying to figure out this issue.
