Will be driving and the radio, blinkers, heat/air, and wipers all are dead then at sporadic times come back on and go back off. No consistency in how often it happens or how long it lasts but didn't do it for a while then in rain losing wipers was very dangerous.

On multiple occasions vehicle shuts off resulting in-complete power failure. Power steering and brakes are gone to manual making it difficult to get off the road or stop. Vehicle was taken to dealership for ingition switch recall and a new one installed. A few months later same problem occured again several times. The only indicater light coming on is electronic stability light. Van restarts promptly when put in neutral. No other issues could be found, dealer was unable to duplicate shut off. This happend 4 times in 12 miles one night. This has always happened at lower speeds below 45 and at random times with no predictability. We really like the car especially the stow N go feature but this engine shuting off makes it unsafe to drive.

Throughout 2014, multiple (10 times) incidents of vehicle losing all power. Previously filed a claim with NHTSA. Vehicle has been in Chrysler dealership multiple times. Unable to duplicate problem. Several calls to Chrysler customer service. No resolution. Currently waiting for case management assignment as our previous case manager is no longer at that job. L25 recall was performed Aug 2011. We did not encounter this problem until after the L25 recall was performed. Last time dealership had vehicle was Nov 5, 2014. Mechanic drove vehicle over 100 miles and could not duplicate the problem. Customer service rep suggested they may decide to perform the recall again, but they do not currently have parts.

On several occasions our Chrysler Town & Country 2010 has had power failure. A stability control light comes on, and then the power steering fails. It becomes difficult to steer the van, the speed of the car rapidly declines, and if I push on the gas pedal there is no change in speed, I have to press very hard on the brake, and there is resistance, to bring the van to a complete stop. After the van comes to a complete stop, we can restart the van by placing it in park, and restarting the ignition. This power failure happens at random times, and we are unable to predict when it will occur or where it will occur.

Appears related to NHTSA action number: DP14004 problem: Sudden unintended and uncontrollable acceleration sudden unintended acceleration of our 2010 Chrysler Town and country touring was experienced on 2 occasions (8/2/14 and 12/5/14) nearly resulting in a serious accident on each occurrence. Both incidents occurred under similar circumstances. While traveling on a freeway @ approximately 65 mph bearing left (either to change lanes or on a curve ) and accelerating, the accelerator pedal drops to the floor with uncontrolled full throttle acceleration. Braking did not stop the acceleration and emergency evasive maneuvers were required to avoid serious accidents on both occasions. Shifting in and out of neutral several times was performed and eventually the accelerator returned to normal operation. I am unsure what caused the unintended acceleration to stop. Key information identical during both incidents: 1. engine oil was changed within days of each incident. Oil change reminder counter was reset using manufacturer reset procedure. 2. left turn signal was engaged. 3. traveling at approximately 65 mph when beginning acceleration (transmission downshifted). 4. throttle position was approximately 30-40% throttle to accelerate to pass or get up to speed after a curved freeway entrance ramp. 5. vehicle had been driven for approximately 25 minutes prior to sudden acceleration on each occurrence (however in two completely separate locations). 6. this occurred on 2 occasions with 2 different drivers. 7. both incidents occurred while on a freeway. 8. duration of incidents: Approximately 10-20 seconds. This appears to be a software bug (I am an it professional and electrical engineer by degree). This needs to be fixed immediately for the safety of my family and the general public.

I was driving into work around 5 a.M on 10/27/14. I was going around 35 miles an hour. All of a sudden my headlights started blinking, then all the lights on the instrument dash board was going off & heard a binging noise. All of a sudden my 2010 Chrysler town & county van shut off causing me to loss steering & brakes ! I tried to turn the wheel as hard as I could right to avoid going left into oncoming traffic & ended up hitting a telephone pole. The air bags didn't deploy either. I was taking to the E.R. & dignosed with a mild concussion from hitting my head off of the steering wheel & have right groin and hip pain ! now I feel it is unsafe to drive this van since this happened!

Our 2010 Chrysler Town and country van has cut off while driving, on multiple occasions. It has happened 3 times in just the past 3 weeks. There is no warning such as a hesitation or warning lights on the dashboard. The first indication is you lose power steering. The normal dashboard lights stay on but the van is not running and its difficult to get out of the way of traffic without power steering and it all happens so fast. We have been very lucky that there has not been an accident. We took all other keys off our van key fob and we checked the battery and it continues to happen. We know there is a recall for this very thing for ignitions for Town and country vans including the year 2010 but the dealership tells us (that by using our VIN number), our vans production date is outside of the recall dates.
