This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
We received safety recall L25 for our 2010 Chrysler Town & Country van. Our dealer indicates there are very limited parts available and they would call us when they get the part in, but there are 30 people waiting ahead of us. We are concerned as our van engine shut off while driving on July 21 and we had to pull to the side of the road and restart the engine. Thank goodness we were not on an expressway. What can we do to get the replacement part so we do not end up having an accident.
Driving 2010 Chrysler Town and country and was accelerating into a left turn from a stop sign when the vehicle's engine and electrical shut down completely. Was able to coast to side of one way street just in time to avoid collision with approaching vehicle. Restarted and ran normally. No indicators or service lights before or after.
Brakes start shuddering at 8,000 miles, rear rotors turned at 12,000 miles, no help, different dealer all new rotors and pads at 16,000 miles, everything good, brakes shuddering again at 23,000 miles, told wheels out of balance - wheels weren't out of balance, still shuddering, back at dealer again - they don't think it's the brakes - they are full of bull!
