The "Y" fitting on heater hose is cracked and leaking coolant, big plumes of coolant steam escapes from the drivers side wheel well until leaking fluid has evaporated. Until the evap happens I cannot use the defroster as it takes the climate control off recycle and the coolant fumes then enter the cab. Chrysler was made aware of the issue, as well as another on December 5, and refused to fix or help with repair costs, vehicle still not repaired, still leaking coolant. 2 small children, 5 yrs and 14 months, ride in this vehicle on a daily basis and can be exposed to the fumes. Also cannot use remote start due to the fumes leaking into cab until the vehicle key is in place and climate control recycle kicks in, so in cold weather like this week I can not warm my van up without physically going out and starting it up. If I am contacted I will provide VIN.

It started by engine cutting off while running down the road 20 - 50 mph we shift to neutral and restart it. This has been happening ever since we purchased it from the dealership in myrtle beach. They worked on it and said it something about the valves were dirty and charges us $300. And it continued cutting off on us on the way back home. This happens every time we drive it. We took it to the dealership in conway, SC and they could find nothing wrong. I left there, drive away on the busy highway and it cuts off a number of times. I have complained to both dealerships a number of times and they do not know what to do. I have taken it to a local mechanic and he is also puzzled. We have replaced the fuel pump, water pump and timing belt, battery. Yesterday, November 30th we came from long ave. To 701 approximately 3-5 miles and it cut off 5 times while doing approximately 45 - 50 mph. We turned onto 701 and it cut off 3 times in less than a mile. The last time it cut off we making a left turn, luckily the light was green (busy intersection - 4 way traffic/shopping center. We got through the intersection and pulled off road because it would not start. When we turned the ignition on it would just click one time. After about 10 minutes it started and we went the last half mile home with the vehicle jumping and skipping all the way. We are afraid to leave home on it for fear of an accident or getting stranded. We feel this is a factory problem and should not be a burden on us. Since 1995 we have purchased 10 Chrysler products and this is the worse.what do you plan to do about this problem.

Car started smoking for few minutes when car first started each day. Took it to a repair shop, who changed the oil, put in a new filter, plugs, etc. It then worked fine for a couple months, and then climbing a hill a loud knocking started. Took it to a Chrysler dealer who refused to fix or replace the engine, because I could not produce receipts for oil changes, since that work was typically done by me, or one of my workers. I contacted corporate and was told that they would not honor any warranty for any part of the car because they had decided that I didn't take good enough care of the van, even though it was in perfect condition, except for the engine. I have since talked to many auto repair places and was told that even if I had not done anything to the car at all, the engine should not have blown at only 30,000 miles. Now I have had a $42,000 top of the line limited minivan sitting in my driveway, which is technically still under warranty. Talked to an attorney and was told that it was impossible to win against auto dealers anymore, especially since the new CEO is a criminal who fixed the failing company by ripping off customers.

About to get onto a major highway when smoke started to come from under the hood. Pulled over to a gas station and found antifreeze sprayed over the entire engine compartment. Mechanic at the garage found that the rear coolant heater hose was cracked where it attaches to the engine. He said the Y design is a bad flaw and very common. He said no reason with only 58,500 miles should that have cracked already. Van had to be towed 32 miles to the nearest Chrysler dealership, van is still under extended warranty.

Heater hose started leaking antifreeze on engine making the car smoke really bad. Took it to our mechanic and he looked at it and said "you don't even need to show me...it is the heater hose. I can't even tell you how many of these we have done. We actually just finished one up yesterday." Seems to be a really big problem with these vehicles and nothing is being done about it.

Car started smoking on near drivers side with an awful smell. Was able to drive to a dealer who determined that the radiator needed to be replaced. I paid over $950 dollars. As I drove away from the dealership, the same smell and smoking occurred. I took the vehicle to pep boys where it was determined that the rear heater hose assembly needed to be replace. From what I can determine from researching that Chrysler knows the "Y" plastic part is faulty and does not sell just the "Y" part of the unit. Consumers are forced into buying a heater hose and line assembly for over $100. The dealership did not take responsibility for this.

Faulty transmission. Constantly hard shifts everywhere. Feels like the transmission is going to fall out of the vehicle every time you shift from reverse to drive, or drive to park, or park to reverse. This is the second transmission on this vehicle.. I had the powertrain checked and the vehicle came out with no problems. Im afraid that I will be in an accident the vehicle shakes and stops abruptly while driving.

1.there are times when right after shutting the vehicle off and coming back to the car several minutes later, it will not start. The key turns but there is no power. I have replaced altenator, and battery and starter. The problem appears to be in the ignition. 2. I have replaced the front wheel bearings at 80,000miles, also in the 3 years of owning this vehicle I have had to replace front brakesand rotors 2 times and rear brakes once. 3. oil seems to "disappear" usually 2 quarts in a matter of 1000 or less miles. This vehicle is the most unsafe vehicle I have ever bought. I bought this vehicle on the word of Chrysler that it is a safe and trustworthy van. I have been stranded more times than I choose to count, in parking lots and what not miles away from home, with my 3 small children. It is absolutely [xxx] that I have to have a "survival pack" food and water and strollers and things of that nature in my vehicle at all times in case we get stranded somewhere. My 2008 Town & Country is burning oil and I it started who knows when. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the valve cover 3 times now. It needs replaced again but they are waiting to hear from Chrysler. I think the whole van should be recalled. I bought a vehicle that was supposed to be safe and reliable not take it to get fixed every month. I shouldn't have to check the oil every 500 miles. My 1997 Chevy Blazer was never this much trouble. I don't think I will ever own another Chrysler again unless maybe it's free. Also the key is getting stuck in the ignition after being shut off. I have oil in my driveway and I'm stick of the repairs!

This is more a drive-ability problem rather than a safety problem. My vehicles check engine light turned on. The code said the egr valve was bad and needed to be replaced. When I went looking for a part I found that there were so many of these failures that the part would be back ordered and I could not be told when the part would be in. This was a known problem back in 2005 and Chrysler never fixed it. Because of the egr failure the vehicle gets poorer gas mileage and produces more pollution.

Several issues. Once while driving 40 mph stopped and steering locked up coasted turned it off and back on, head lights dont always work, sometimes head lights and dash light up and then flicker on when closing doors, air works intermittendly. Sometimes stops and then starts back on. Wipers work sometimes wont stop. Interior lights turn on inside vehicle and don't turn off. So frustrating.
