While visiting in Canada vehicle wouldn't start.towed to nearest Chrysler dealer. Told the win module(part#05026147ah) was bad. None available in Canada. Made me suspicious there was a problem. Chrysler service(file#[xxx])suggested a shortage because part was part of a recall on 2010 town/country vans as well as other models in U.S. why isn't my van included? same part, probably same mechanically. I have had to be towed, waited in Canada 2 days, returned home(4.5 hr drive) waiting 2 weeks plus without vehicle and will have to go back some day for vehicle.this is getting very expensive. After 6 weeks of owning the vehicle I noticed that the sliding doors were not operating correctly. They would open or close on their own. It started off being only once or twice a month to now an almost everyday occurrence. I have taken it back to the dealership and they sent it to another dealership and I am being told "they can't get it to duplicate" well al I can say is what is it going to take for them to fix the problem, a child getting badly hurt or killed. The final straw for me was just last week when the door closed on my 10 yr. Olds leg and I had to put my whole body in the door to get it to stop. It bruise my back and cut my sons leg. I am currently trying to get rid of the van before it does major damage to one of my kids, but I feel like I should at least get the money back I have put into it since now I am going to have to come up more money to get a new car and pay sales tax all over again. Not to mention the fact that all you have to do is google "problems with Chrysler vans sliding doors" and there are hundreds of people out there having the same problem. Why won't you guys do anything to help us, or is this another one of those times when a tragedy like the death of a child has to happen to make you wake up and take action. I even contacted Chrysler and told me that they didn't have any record of people complaining about the sliding door issues I was having. I told that lady she was full of crap because you can go online and see hundreds of stories of people having the same problems.

1.there are times when right after shutting the vehicle off and coming back to the car several minutes later, it will not start. The key turns but there is no power. I have replaced altenator, and battery and starter. The problem appears to be in the ignition. 2. I have replaced the front wheel bearings at 80,000miles, also in the 3 years of owning this vehicle I have had to replace front brakesand rotors 2 times and rear brakes once. 3. oil seems to "disappear" usually 2 quarts in a matter of 1000 or less miles. This vehicle is the most unsafe vehicle I have ever bought. I bought this vehicle on the word of Chrysler that it is a safe and trustworthy van. I have been stranded more times than I choose to count, in parking lots and what not miles away from home, with my 3 small children. It is absolutely [xxx] that I have to have a "survival pack" food and water and strollers and things of that nature in my vehicle at all times in case we get stranded somewhere. After a recall for airbag module was performed the electrical system started acting up, the window won't roll down the wipers are on constantly, the turn signals don't work! pretty much all the electrical equipment is off except headlights are on all the time and so are the wipers. I took it to an electrical shop because I think the dealer is incompetent and they replaced the win module and fuse box in January 2012, did not fix the problem has been acting up sporadically all year long, getting worse. Took to dealership in April 2013 they couldn't find anything, this is a dangerous vehicle!!!

I turned the car off after a short drive and left the car parked in my driveway, unlocked, with the key inserted in the ignition. I came back few minutes later and the car was locked with the key inside. Thank goodness it happened in my driveway so I went back inside the house, grabbed the spare keys and opened the car.

Same as complaint NHTSA id number: 10496186 and NHTSA id number: 1049507. The problem was a defective wire harness in the drivers side door. My vehicle had the air bag light intermittently going on/off in addition the these issues stated in these two complaints. I called Chrysler then took it back to the dealer and said to re-check safety recall K25 which I already have had completed that had caused the air bag light to go on/off. As it turns out, because the drivers side electric door locks and window switches did not work, the mechanic found the wiring harness in the drivers side door was defective and replaced it. Now all the crazy flashing air bag light, dashboard warning lights, windshield wipers, interior lighting, ect ect have stopped. My 2008 Town and country had the wiring harnesses recalled for the sliding side doors and I already had those harnesses replaced. This driver door harness problems were much worse because I never knew if the air bag had failed or was working properly. Everything works ok now that the driver side door wiring harness was replaced.

The following has been happening for over a week now. When starting my vehicle, the wipers independently turned on, the headlights flashed every time the wipers where deployed independently. The wiper and light on/off was checked. Turned off and on, and still both items flashed, and swiped by themselves. January 29th, operator was driving 25 mph, all dash lights blinked, including but not limited to, esp, brake, engine, and airbag lights, airbag light remained on, wipers deployed and RPM gauge reduced to 0 for 5 seconds. Pulled over turned ignition off, opened door, shut door restarted vehicle. The above repeated itself, with more errors, now the driver window controls did no longer work. This happened repeatedly for 5 full minutes before resuming normal operation.

After driving approximately 10 miles home from work, I parked the van in my driveway, took the keys, and went inside. About five minutes later, my horn began to blow, windshield wipers rapidly moving and spraying windshield wiper fluid everywhere, all the doors locked, and this continued until battery was disabled. Hooked battery back up and began to drive. After a few miles, the headlights went out, the windshield wipers began rapidly wiping and spraying, the horn frantically blowing, and doors unlocked and locked several times. Had to again remove the battery to stop. Contacted Chrysler who claims they have never heard of such a thing. Come to find hundreds of similar complaints.

During the past three months all of a sudden the horn starts blowing erratically, the windshield washers and wipers activate, lights start flashing, the doors lock automatically and the transmission will not shift into high. This has happened five or six times since Aug., having occurred four times in the past three weeks. It happens while the car is running and while it is not. With each incident the symptoms become worse and the duration is longer. Last week, I had to pull off the road and wait five or ten minutes for it to stop as I could not see where I was going. Yesterday, it occurred while sitting in the garage and I had to disconnect the battery to stop it. The Chrysler dealer says it is the total integrated power module that needs to be replaced @$524.12. Additionally now at 54,000 miles the front rotors are warped and need to be replaced @ $409. They had to be replaced @ 25,834 and 35,272. When the brakes are applied the front end and steering vibrate uncontrollably. Both conditions are safety issues, have been well document by hundreds of people, and are obvious inherent defects in the vehicle, and should be issues that result in a recall of these vehicles and repairs or replacements made at Chrysler's expense, yet they continue to deny there is an inherent problem. Both issues could result in a serious accident.
