2008 Chrysler Town and country. Consumer writes regarding complaint against Chrysler the consumer stated the key fobs have been rendered inoperable as a result of the sliding doors not working properly. Chrysler informed the failure was due to abuse. However, the consumer believed it was due to a design flaw.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Town and country. The right passenger sliding door opened and closed randomly. The door latch has also malfunctioned. A local mechanic reset the computer and stated that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. She plans to have the vehicle diagnosed by an authorized dealer and notify the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 37,000 and the current mileage was 39,300.
The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the racks on the luggage rack were sharp. He stated that one could cut their finger by grabbing the rack incorrectly. The contact had to saw the rack down with sand paper in order to smooth out the rough edges. The manufacturer has not offered any assistance. The failure mileage was 500 and current mileage was 1,000. Updated 01/29/08 the third row seats did not have sufficient leg room, the outside mirrors were too small, the windshield sun screen is too short, the owners manual was not properly edited. The radio did not adjust properly at highway speeds, the key fobs lock and unlock inadvertently. The power locks activated at 15 mph. Updated
