2007 Chrysler Town and country. Consumer states issues with vehicle consuming amounts excessive oil the outer tie rod was worn and needed to be replaced. Also, the left front tire pressure monitoring sensor needed to be replaced.
The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Town and country touring. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, she noticed that the front right wheel would shake abnormally. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the tie rod was loose. This vehicle was repaired yet the failure recurred. The vehicle was repaired for the front right tie rod four times. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000 and the current mileage was approximately 85,000. The VIN was unavailable.
The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Town & Country. He stated that during a routine oil change, the front passenger side tie rod was loose and replaced. The front passenger and driver side tie rod failed after it was repaired; however, since the component was not covered by the warranty, he was responsible for the repair costs. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 23,889. The current mileage was 30,732.
