I have a 06 Chrysler Town and country, with dean quasar plus tires dot ut6V DK9 0406. Noticed today that all four tires have severe cracking along where the tread and side wall meet. There is no recall for this "week" of tire manufacturing the 0406. These tires have only been on this van for less than a year and a half with no more than 25,000 miles on them.
The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Town and country. The vehicle has Goodyear, size P21570R15 tires. A mechanic noticed that the tire pressure was low and stated that there was a blister on the driver and passenger side front tires. Tread had began to separate from the tires. The dealer stated that nothing could be done. The weather and road conditions were not a factor. No pictures are available. The mechanic provided an invoice. The dot number and related tire information was unavailable. The current mileage was 11,000 and the failure mileage for the vehicle and tires were 10,399. Updated 11/06/07.
1- normal day to day driving or parked 2- no object in tire was told "it was a leak". and not defect -- happened two separate occasions to 2 different tries on new vehicle 3- tires were patched and are on vehicle.
