Sunday, while coming home, my wife abruptly experienced a THUD and loss of control. Upon taking it to the dealer this morning (towed, it was too dangerous to drive) she was told that the Rack and Pinion system had exploded. Not failed, exploded. Thank Athena for extended warranties. Total cost of repairs to us will be $100. Actual cost would have been $3000 plus.
