2003 Town & Country seatbelt harness breaks off from side of the car without any car impact. Car was parked.had there been a forceful impact, I think driver would have been thrown through the windshield. Inside portion of plastic piece that houses the screw that is screwed into the side has hairline cracks.
The seat belts began shredding. Both belts in the front and the one in the third seat on the left. The owner has been in contact with dealer but not Chrysler. The seat belts have been like this for a month. Owner was putting tape on the seat belts to keep them together. The owner called Chrysler also. Dealership said that the seat belt were not covered by a warranty.
The vehicle would not start. The consumer had to use the battery from another vehicle. The consumer started to have problems with a rattle in the door, the brakes squeaked, the air and heating would go up by itself, the back automatic hatch was not working and would come open while the vehicle was in motion, there was a loud grinding when the vehicle was placed in reverse due to a faulty accumulator and the check engine light had come on due to the transmission solenoid pack, there was a roaring sound when the vehicle was in motion, the passenger side seat belt was tangled and the drivers side seat belt retractor was faulty, a component was loose in the drivers seat back, there was noise in the sliding door on the right side, the brakes smelled smokey and were scrubbing, the clip on the cup holder was broken and the battery kept dying and would not hold charge.
