Driver side strut failed twice. Both times resulting in loss of control of vehicle. Repaired under warranty. Windshield wipers operate intermintently resulting in degraded visibility during rain storms. Battery exploded while starting vehicle spreading acid throughout engine compartment. Transmission failed while engaging causing car to leap forward into traffic.
While driving in rain air conditioning went out, and all the lights on the dashboard went out, windows fogged up, affecting driver's visibility. Also, belt tensioner did not work. The belt tensioner broke for the second time causing lights, power steering and the engine to fail.
Power locks....locks you in, cannot open the doors. Locks you out, cannot open the doors. Does not lock all the doors at once, usually leaves passenger side sliding door unlocked. Have had system replaced, is now worse than original. Also, sets off alarm unnecessarily....... - windshield wipers come one intermittently when turning corner, turning on turning signals, or without any justification. Very startling, and extremely distracting when driving and the wipers just come on. Thank you for your work.

Windshield wiper blades turned on by themselves, and door would not latch at times. Also, transmission/ fue lines/gas tank, and air conditioner went out and were replaced. Aftet warranty expired, thermostat overheated, causing a fire. Owner said vehicle has been a constant problem since purchasing it.
Transmission disintegrated with parts sent through case, wipers have had persistent problem with turning on with no apparent cause, gas tank was replaced due to recall, but still shows empty at 16 gallons
Front windshield wipers as well as rear wipers come on at various times without warning. Rear wipers do not come on as often as the front. Front windshield wipers come on constantly without ever turning them on, just about every time I make a turn and even when I'am just going straight. The bottom line is the front windshield wipers come on when they want to, and cut off when they want to, if it's raining or not. Its scary because you never know if they will come on when you really need them. Thank you.
Vehicle experincing ongoing/intermittent problem with windshield wipers coming on with no warning for one to ten swipes, then quit. This causes poor visibility and could lead to a vehicle collision, dealer/manufacturer were not contracted at this time.
Auto transmission failed and was replaced after 46,856 miles. Fuel gauge reads empty when 5 or 6 gallons remain - tank replaced, problem never fixed. Windshield wipers will come on by themselves, switch replaced problem still exists. Electric cooling fans failed, module and relay replaced. Driver window moter and regulator failed. Air conditioning compressor leaked, A/C hoses leaked all new system put in.
While chatting online with other Chrysler Town & Country owners, we seemed to share a common problem. The windshield wipers in our cars would start scraping across our windshields. On a sunny day this could leave your windshield streaky and cause a temporary loss of vision. This happened to me driving at 65 mph. The windshield wipers come on randomly every day. I think this part is defective and I would like Chrysler to replace it. My warranty is still within three years. But I am over 36,000 miles.
When windshield wipers are set in intermittently, the wipers swept sporadically. Sometimes consumer can not turn the wipers off. The dealer is aware of the problem. The problem has not been corrected. The van will be brought to the dealership for the fifth time for this problem.
