While driving the rear brakes caught on fire which also caused the floor of the vehicle to catch on fire. The consumer was able to exit the roadway and the fire was extinguished. The insurance company recommended a shop to make repairs. The shop only replaced the brakes and fuel tank. The vehicle two rear tires were also burned in the fire.
Vehicle has dry rotten tires made by sears/serial number P205/70R1595tm/5. took vehicle for an inspection, and mechanic notified her that all four tires were dry rotten. There was no collison involved. Dealership will be callled.
Total loss of power steering for short periods of time, particularly during very heavy rain fall, frequently during cold periods, and usually after going through the car wash. On -2-13/97 while driving on Q 3-lane highway, lost control, resulting in an accident. Also tire blew out.
