NHTSA recall 00V268000/manufacturer's recall 895; O-rings have been replaced 3 times and still continue to leak. Manufacturer was notified. The O-rings and lock nut on the tank has been replaced 3 times within 3 weeks, the leak still continued, service manager stated that the fuel tank itself was defective and that the threaded neck had elongated, consumer had the tank replaced at his expense, Chrysler paid for half of the repairs.
Recall 00V268000/fuel leakages: Dealer informed that recall has not been issued, and manufacturer informed consumer that they were aware of recall, and willing to pay for part. But consumer had to pay for labor, and submit invoice for reimbursement. At quality Dodge in tooele, ut; phone# 435/882-2000. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter.
After smelling fuel van was taken to a mechanic. After looking at the main part of the engine, fuel was found to be pouring out of the fuel injector rail. A new fuel rail has been ordered to correct this problem.
