The consumer took her vehicle in to the dealer because the fuel delivery rail was defective. The dealer refused to look at the vehicle because the recall was repaired. There would be a charge to the consumer. The consumer can see the gas leaking when the engine gets cold, the gas was flowing over the engine.
Consumer took vehicle to the dealer because of a fuel tank leak. Dealer failed to inform the consumer about a recall of fuel pump. Dealer attempted to charge consumer for recall repairs. The vehicle was eventually taken to another dealer, who made the repairs free of charge, per recall order.
Vehicle engine stopped; towed to nearest Chrysler service. Technician reported fuel injection line fastener failed and line detached from fuel pump. Pump continued pumping fuel, creating fire hazard.
Recall 99V216. After recall was repaired vehicle's problem worsened. When fuel tank was filled there were fumes entering into passenger's compartment, and fumes could be smelled from outside. Dealer has since been notified.

Consumer took vehicle into dealer in May 2000 for NHTSA recall 99V216000/ manufacturer's recall 845 repairs concerning fuel pump failure. Consumer was still experiencing a fuel leak when filling up the gas tank to full, even after recall repairs were performed and 3 attempts were made afterwards to fix it.
After recall repair of the fuel tank seal package the vehicle caught on fire while driving around the area of the fuel tank underside of the vehicle. Nlm

Recall 99V216 000/fuel pump. After dealer serviced the recall fuel tank started to leak when filled. Dealer has repaired the vehicle a second time. However, the tank continues to leak.
Dealer informed there are no available parts, and dealer was unable to tell consumer when parts would be available, and when he could schedule an appointment.
On an incline, when the fuel tank is full, fuel leakage is present. A recall has been issued. However this vehicle was not included. Recall 99V216000. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
Engine cuts out while driving causing failure of all systems. Restarting can be impossible. Has occurred when air conditioning is operating. Dealer replaced fuel pump but still exhibits the problem. Many similar complaints exist on your site but no technical bulleting seems to exist on this problem.
