This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Horn is not active/ cruise control doesn't work, and air bag light is illuminating on dash panel. Dealer has been contacted, and was willing to replace clock spring for a fee.
Airbag light came on/horn, and cruise control failure. Consumer took vehicle to a private mechanic who has repaired vehicle. Please provide any additional information/attachments.
Clockspring ribbon wire broke disabling both front air bags, the horn and the cruise control. Clockspring ribbon conductors both severed and shorted to each other. Disassembly of mechanism found that ribbon wire was stuck together and not able to flex and rotate with steel wheel rotation. It appears that the lubricant used in the clockspring assembly degraded and glued the ribbon together. Free end of ribbon flexed back and forth during steering wheel movement until it folded over on itself (180 degree fold) and eventually failed. Vehicle operated in phoenix, Arizona for the past four years. Extreme summer heat may have caused lubricant breakdown.

Airbag light came on intermittently and then stayed on at all times, cruise control and horn did not work. Mechanic replaced clock spring which corrected defect.
Air bag light permanently on due to failed clock spring assembly, air bags disabled, also affected horn and cuise control. Vehicle suffers from unusual power drains/fluctuations, battery replaced 3 times within 3 1/2 years. Electronic door locks (four doors) frequently fail, can only service when failure is consistent. Vehicle occasionally stalls (abruptly) at any speed, throttle system serviced a few times (outside of tune-ups) with little benefit. Front and rear windshield wipers activate by themselves quite often (but never at the service shop/dealership), with no set pattern, multifunction switch replaced twice. All problems except for air bag (customer paid for repair as well as for other problems) still persist.
When starting up vehicle will stall. Contacted the dealer, and dealer told consumer that this was common. Dealer was indicating that throttle body should be cleaned every 30,000 miles. Vehicle stalled out while driving on highway and lost all power in the steering and brakes. Engine stalls when starting, and throttle body requires cleaning every 9000 to 10, 000 miles.
Consumer driving with cruise control on at 65mph when vehicle accelerated to high speed. Tried to disengage cruise control by pressing on brakes, but acceleration continued at high speed. Consumer literally stood up with both feet on brakes before vehicle was stopped. Dealership diagnosed problem and parts are on order.
The engine stalls with no warning, usually when slowing or coming to a stop, but it has happened a few times at speeds up to 45 mph. After the engine stalls, it will sometimes not start unless I "race" the engine to keep it going. The dealer cannot duplicate this problem. We have paid to have the throttle body cleaned and to have the fuel filter replaced, but the problem continues. Since vehicle has power steering and brakes, these do not function during an engine stall, and I am concerned that this could eventually produce a collision.
