While pulling into a parking space the driver noticed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle, he looked under the hood and noticed under the hood, claim # 13-7055-925. Nlm
Whilke driving the vehicle stalled and then the driver noticed smoke and fire coming from under the hood, the fire was extinguished with only damage to the wiring, claim # 15-3024-211. Nlm
While driving the consumer smell an odd smell and pulled over, once out of the vehicle the consumer saw smoke coming from under the hood, the engine compartment was on fire, claim # 04-1312-385. Nlm
Vehicle stalled while being driven at slow and high speeds on highway, which caused an accident, on both occasions dealer could not duplicate the problem.
While driving and without warning vehicle completely shutdown, causing loss of power brakes and power steering, cause unknown. Dealer cannot identify the problem.
The motor quits while driving without warning, causing loss of power braking and steering. No warning and vehicle sometimes may be restarted after it waits for hours. Secondly, windshield wipers will activate when turned off and if turned on to intermittent they will be extremely inconsistent in operation.
While driving at high speeds or coming from a stopped position engine stalls and will have to be put in neutral to be restarted. Dealer has not seen vehicle.
Vehicle stalls when coming to a stop, mostly after long trips. Took vehicle to dealer 3 or 4 times, and cannot remedy problem. Vehicle stalled about 5 or 6 times. Consumer states vehicle stalls when removing his foot from the gas pedal at speeds of 25-40 mph, all brakes and steering are lost when this failure occurs.
When turning vehicle on, engine chimes ring and it keeps ringing intermittently. Also, airbag light comes on. Dealer attempted to fix however did not remedy problem.
Problem is noted on very hot days, no prior warning when driving at any speed. Upon applying brakes vehicle will stall and die out. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer unable to determine the cause of the problem.
While driving at normal highway speed vehicle is fine, when slowing on exit ramp the vehicle stalls, losing all power completely. Dealer has been contacted. The vehicle startes immediately after failing except on one occassion it required half hour before restarting.
When starting up vehicle will stall. Contacted the dealer, and dealer told consumer that this was common. Dealer was indicating that throttle body should be cleaned every 30,000 miles. Vehicle stalled out while driving on highway and lost all power in the steering and brakes. Engine stalls when starting, and throttle body requires cleaning every 9000 to 10, 000 miles.
Possible manufacturing defect in the boss that holds the rocker arm shaft on the cylinder head in the vehicle, broken and causing severe engine damage, required replacement.
