I purchased a 08 Chrysler Sebring and it has been the worse decision I have ever made. No one can fix it. It has been consistently in and out of the shop for over a year now. Even the dealership that sold it to me said, they are tired of trying to fix the car. I have easily put out over $2000.00 cash in repairs for the issue I am still having.
I believe it is an electrical issue because there aren't any codes coming back. Everyone has ran test and fixed whatever codes came back and the car still loses power, shuts off and locks up while I'm driving. I am so scared that I am going to be involved in a horrific accident because there is no warning when it happens. I can be going 40 or 80mph and it just does it out of no where. I called corporate and told them no one has been able to fix it they gave me a case number to take to a Chrysler dealership and have it diagnosed. Let's just say that was a nightmare. They continued to milk without resolving the issue.
When I informed Dayton Andrews on gulf to bay in Clearwater Fl that I couldn't afford to keep giving them money without the issue being resolved they refused to work on the car. The service manager lied to my face and harassed and insulted me. I still have the card he handed me when he told me I could bring the car back at anytime and have the issue resolved. I am stuck with a car that I'm still making payments on and it is a dangerous hazard to other civilians on the road.
Keep in my I have a two year old daughter to I have to take to and from daycare every day. I hope someone sues the pants off of Chrysler if this causes to take a life. There are far too many exact cases and known issues of this for them to ignore this issue and to choose not to do the right thing.
I will NEVER purchase another Chrysler as long as I live. Neither will my family because they can't believe themselves. I have had mechanics tell me to let the car go. It is no good.
