Car is overheating to 3/4. Had this into the shop, and they could not figure out why this is happening. Something is wrong, a car should not heat up to 3/4 without any problems. Scared to drive my car.
Though it was a 2008 vehicle, since it had never been registered, and only had 200+ miles on it (from driving it from one dealership to another), it was sold as a new car. I picked it up about 5:30 that day and by 7:00 I was at the side of the Massachusetts Turnpike waiting for a tow. About 50 miles into my trip from Boston to Buffalo, steam came pouring out from under the hood, the temperature was registering in the red area and the idiot light came on. I called the dealership and was told to sit for a while and let it cool down, probably had overheated from its first highway trip. I insisted that it be towed back to their dealership. Three days later I learned that a fan blade was cracked and had actually broken while I was driving. This broken piece damaged the fan motor, so all parts had to be replaced.
