After taking my 2007 Chrysler Sebring in for repairs in July of 2015 I am having the same problem 5 months later with unable to start the car it is dead again. This is the 3rd time I'm having to tow it into the Chrysler dealership for the same problem after having a new battery and alternator replaced. This time after the Chrysler dealership having it 6 days they call and advise me they can't find what the problem is. I told the service agent if they fixed the problem the first time we wouldn't be having this problem after the 3rd time having it. I told him I've always knew it was an electrical problem and it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. The service agent stated they couldn't figure out what the problem was right now but were trying to put their heads together to see what the problem was.

They have had my car now for 2 weeks and they have yet to call me back after the first call. They said they would call me back a day later to keep me updated. It's been 8 days since I've heard from them since the last call. I guess now they think differently about the Electrical issue. Also before all this started my dash cluster lights went out and my cruise control stop working. But the dealer ship told me that wasn't affiliated with the alternator and battery problem. I think Different. It's a electrical defect issue that Chrysler Corp knows about for a long time.

I've had a number of problems since buying this car...

1. while making a slow turn, engine has died on several occasions.

2. while at a stop, engine has died on a couple of occasions.

3. while driving, engine has died on one occasion.

4. while running, either while driving or at a stop, radio will power off, and after a few seconds, it will power back on.

Took it to the dealership today, and what do you know...it doesn't do it for them so they can't do anything about it. What really happened is they didn't even check it...and I know this because when I called the service rep to check the progress of work on my car and asked about the radio issue, his response was.."Uh, what do you mean the radio problem???" So, that pretty much tells me they didn't even cover that issue. I am calling the owner of the dealership tomorrow along with Chrysler to log a formal complaint. If their solution is not satisfactory, I'm going one step higher or filing suit.

Purchased new 2007 Chrysler Sebring in September of 2007. First breakdown was in January of 2008. Car began alarming and throttled down to 20 mph. Car was towed to dealer who could not find problem and the electrical system was reset. Five days later the same problem occurred and car was towed back to dealer then sent to another dealer for second opinion. After extensive testing a sensor was replaced. Car drove fine for 5 months then the same problem. It has been back in the shop 2 more times and has had more electrical parts replaced. It has been in the shop a total of 5 times, towed 3 times, left me stranded 4 times, had 2 sensors replaced and a wire replaced. It has grown quite a warranty history report in it's 10 months of ownership. Dealership is unwilling to offer trade-in and suggests for us to file a lemon law complaint. Buyers please be aware of this problem and protect yourselves as I am finding no help with my dealer or manufacturer.
