I bought my Sebring in October of 2007. The manufacturer had a warranty that covered my car up until March of 2008. Not even a week after the warranty was up, I started noticing my paint look as if it were fading or chipping on the trunk (I'm a girl, that knows NOTHING about cars). Come to find out, it's the clear coat. Since the warranty was up already, there was "nothing" anyone could do about it. Of course, it got worse every single day. The worse it got, the more I noticed more Sebrings with the same problem I am having.
I will have my Sebring for 3 years at the end of October this year.......and it looks absolutely TERRIBLE. I am almost too embarrassed to let anyone see me drive the thing because of the way it looks. There are spots the size of a basketball all over my trunk, roof, and hood.
I was amazed when I Googled this problem and found out that there are SEVERAL people in the country that are having this same issue, with Chrysler Sebrings alone. I find it hard to believe Chrysler refuses to do anything about this problem. I know that I will never recommend a Chrysler to anyone, or will I ever buy another Chrysler for as long as I live.
