I got the car on Jan 1,14..since I had this I have problems. In July 14 I was driving to work and the fuel pump went on the car..and its reading gas leak as of now.also the car accelerates by its self I would be driving doing 60 mph and it will a accelerates and it scares me to drive this car some times.also the seat belts were put in the wrong way. The horn works once in awhile..this car has given me so many problems since I had it.
The air bag light came on and stayed on. Told it was a tensioner switch in the seat belt clip side. They want an over priced $200 to fix this problem. Plus $88 just to diagnose it. I think this was all quite over priced. I will baypass this switch shorting the wires before if I have to pay for something like this. Chrysler should pay for this regardless of in or out of warranty. This was a defective part it was their fault in my opinion.
The airbag light on my 2004 Chrysler Sebring convertible came one. Taking it to the dealer, they indicated the driver's side seat belt pre-tensioner needed to be replaced. It had already been replaced once before under warranty. The dealer stated that the car was 3 months out of warranty that it would be my responsibility to replace it. When I balked, the dealer "gave" me the part and charged me for the labor. I followed up with Chrysler indicating that I felt this was a recurring safety related defect and as such, they should fix it for free. I was told that the free part was all the "goodwill" gesture that I would receive. The car currently has less than 14,000 miles on it and a component of the safety restrain system has already failed twice. Chrysler does not seem to be concerned, so I am filing a complaint with the NHTSA as I feel that this is not an isolated occurrence.
