This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
My 2002 convertible Chrysler sebring limited edition left steering axle ball joint fell out of place while I was driving at about 25 mile per hour. The vehicle has mileage of 80,000. I made a complaint to Chrysler corporation after I found that there is a recall since October 2009 on the same part that failed and the same make and model. I was told by Chrysler that my VIN was not on the list of cars recalled. I have already paid for the repair and seeking reimbursement from Chrysler corporation.
"popping" felt in steering. Tires starting to wear on outside. Dealership replaced rack and pinion assembly (warranty) but I had to pay for the alignment needed after the replaced.
