When ur driving down the road the engine just shuts down like U turned off the key. It isn't over heating and no check engine light so I cannot figure out why it keeps doing this and it has a new battery. I just bought the car.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the ignition. Since the vehicle was repaired, the entire instrument panel failed to give an accurate reading. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The approximate failure mileage was unavailable.

I have a 2002 sebring limited convertible that he had purchased in August 2012 with at the time just over 64K on the digital clock. It now has just over 71K on it. A few months before this I had an electrical issue that looked like a burned wire somewhere and a puff of smoke under the drivers side engine compartment. I tightened up the loose remote ground on the strut tower and everything was fine. A few weeks late I turned the car off and restarted and it was fine. Well about 2 weeks ago I went down to the doctors office and back and armed the security system like normal. Later I happened to look in the car and the security light was not flashing. I open the door and there is no miles on odometer, no dash response from the gauges, warning lights except for the E-brake light and oil pressure light. Also no horn, wipers, dome lights, trunk release, power door locks/keyless entry, ac, rear defroster, dash lights, warning lights, the trip computer indicates the compass heading but nothing else, no power top or heated seats either. Now, here's what's working. The car starts and seems to drive as normal, I have as I said the E-brake light and the oil pressure light on the dash, the power windows, outside lights, turn signals and hazards, reverse lights, radio/amp, power mirrors. The transmission indicator on the dash. I basically now own a 2500lb paperweight.

While driving on the highway, the word "deck" appeared on the dashboard. Then a series of numbers appeared, along with a beeping sound. Before I could pull over, the steering and brakes locked up and I went into a 360 degree spin. I had no control of the car. The Chrysler final came to a stop on its own. Chrysler has refused to investigate the mechanical aspects of the car and so the car is totaled. I have since met others who have had similar experience but traded the car before they were injured. This was a definite mechanical failure that I was able to survive and others around me. Chrysler should check this out.

First I had continuous oil leak so the pan or some part was ordered and installed. The oil is still leaking out of that pan or part? that was a couple hundred bucks including checking the constant flickering oil light which now just flickers and I pay it no attention. The second issue was a computer chip or something, the car would just not start so I took it in that was 800 something by the time the car was going again. The third issue was the connecter that has three hoses to it went bad and smoke came from under hood and when I opened it the water was spraying leaking and of course empty which was another 300 bucks after towing parts labor etc... the current problem is the steering which I don't know what's wrong with I just do my best to stay in the lane. Also I have found out the wheel are really really cheap and flaking so my brand new tires were immediately punctured which I've paid a bunch to keep them sealed and balanced and not to mention the wear from the steering and flats has pretty much ruined the new tires.

I bought the car brand new, added the extended warranty and had several things go wrong. Just to name a few: Engine shut down without warning and had to be replaced when it was just over the 100,000 mile warranty even though oil changes and regular maintenance was done 3-4000 miles, transmission pan had metal shavings in it which resulted in poor performance, control arm had to be replaced after Chrysler dealership told me the problem was the motor mounts(I did not need the mounts replaced and the repair was not done under warranty), water pump & thermostat housing(was told both weren't covered and should have been), rear window defroster replaced and/or fixed three times, driver power window regulator replaced(glass had to be replaced because of damage from the regulator, which I paid), visor vanity light-part ordered but "too late" when tried to have it replaced(was not notified that part was in), dash lights-on & off, headlights replace several times, hub seal replaced, passenger seat adjust arm broken, lighter inoperative, check engine light on first month I had the car!

2002 Chrysler Sebring conv. Experienced complete loss of electrical system and engine shut-off. Towed to dealership, tested, but no repeat of symptoms. Owner requested Chrysler repair personnel actually drive car. Upon doing so, all symptoms appeared with total loss of all electrical systems and non-starting engine. Even though the problem presented itself to the dealer, they could not diagnose or repair the problem. Dealer (harbor Chrysler, ventura, ca) had car for 18 days. Car released in non-repaired condition. Upon picking-up the car, the owner attached written statement of concern to the dealer regarding the safety of operating a vehicle that can suddenly stop operating with complete loss of all electronically controlled systems including brake lights, signals, flashers, wipers, airbag deployment sensors, head and tail lights, etc., as well as a non-running/non startable engine. Chrysler dealer advised owner to drive vehicle until the failing component(s) experienced complete failure, at which time the problem could be accurately diagnosed. This translates into an obligation on the part of the owner to operate an unsafe vehicle in order to help the dealer diagnose the problem. The vehicle is effectively unusable, as strong safety and liability issues continue to concern dr. Rolff, the owner/driver.

Vehicle caught on fire. It burned the antenna. Vehicle was towed to dealer. A representative was sent to find out what happened. She did not know if she should get it fixed or leave it as it is for further investigation. But consume R wanted to know what started the fire. Dealer did not know what started the fire. Had never seen anything like this. The representative said he will turn in his report and the manufacturer will get back to her within a week. Manufacturer has not called her back yet. The opinion of those that looked at vehicle said it might be an electrical problem.

The vehicle's engine seized while driving. The vehicle had a continuing brake problems and would die while in motion. The consumer requested reimbursement. Other problems were: The brake light was intermittent, the front end would vibrate, the brakes squealed, there was slight leak at the proportioning valve, the top was pulled down and the radio had become inoperative, the side mirrors and the power locks had become inoperative, and the brake pads had worn down to 2/32.

I have had my 2004 niacin maxima for 1 month and have the switch controlling the sun roof no longer works. I brought it back to the dealer to repair and they ordered the parts from Nissan. It has been almost 3 months and the parts have not come in. Nissan says they are on backorder and have no idea when thre will be available. They said it could be 1 more month or maybe 6 more months. They do not know.this is a $900 dollar option that does not work, and Nissan says they have no idea when the parts to fix it will be available.

My Chrysler sebring gtc, with standard transmission, without warning would not allow me to shift the car. I had to come to a stop on a busy street. The car would not let me shift to any gear, it was still running. This was caused my the failure of a disc modular (electrical device) part number spd 05062200aa. It does not make since that this electrical part failure would make the car inoperative. This is not safe. This could have happen driving at a higher speed. I was in town on rt. 7 in slower traffic when it happened. I could see the check engine light coming on with the failure of this part, but not the car being totally inoperative the car had less than 3,500 miles of use when this happened.
