I took it to the Chrysler dealer, and they fixed it for about $60. It is a resister under the dash. The part is only about $30, and it only took a half an hour to fix it. It is easy to do it yourself, but I didn't want to mess with it in sub-zero temperatures.
my car was bought new in 02 by my mother , she has since passed onand left the car with my dad.well I am his driver and now the car 80, something thousand Kson it and my brake lights now are stuck on and the the fan is stuck on high. but aside from that, lol .....the car is great
I have filed a complaint with NHTSA over the clockspring. Research on the site showed a total of 19 complaints about airbags and 9 specifically the clockspring. If anyone else has experienced this failure I urge them to report it. Recalls for other problems were instituted with as few as 13 area specific complaints.
I have owned 2 Sebrings and prior to that a LeBaron. I love Chrysler convertibles. Even survived a ROLLOVER in one Chrysler Sebring, with only a scratch on an elbow to show for it, although that was more the hand of the Lord than the car... Now this blower only works on levels 3 and 4, and it appears it's time to try to replace a part.
Car is a freakin' lemon! Everytime you turn around it's needing something else! Had to replace engine at 63,000 miles, 4 new tires put on by dealership had blowouts within 4 months, dealership would do nothing, transmission needed work within 3 months of purchase, had to replace tie rod end within one month, windshield wipers quit in middle of rainstorm! Wire was loose and barely connected. Anderson Ford is not a reputable dealer! Will not work with you, gives false promises, talks down to women. The car is a piece of crap and I owe more than twice what it's worth! Amazing how in less than a year the value of the car has decreased by more than 60% of the purchase price!! Friggin' highway robbery!!
