This car was very promising from Chrysler but again they either scrimp on the engine and transmission or the suspension. In this case I had both a 2000 with the Mitsubishi engine and the 2001 with the Dailmer Chrysler 2.7. The issues I encountered were the lower control arms. I had to replace them twice, thank goodness my auto supply gave a life time warranty on the first set. I also had the same problem that was reported with the rear struts as well. I understand that this car rides low, but there is no excuse to not know that certain metals if they touch each other, will corrode rapidly due to there metal make up.

I was hearing a lot of noise.someone had suggested greasing my axles.but before i could do that.i was slowly going over tracks and i thought my whole car had fell apart.but my tire had bent into car when car came apart.causing big tow bill and having to get control arm ,and ball joints.in which this happened at different times.on all 4 sides.

Sebring LX 2.4L

suspension could detach leaving steering impossible. suspension wishbone could also plant itself in the pavement, at speed you would probably end up flipping the car
