The contact owns a 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible. The contact stated that the trunk occasionally drops down due to unsteadiness. On one occasion, the trunk landed on her head. The trunk was repaired and is working properly; however, the contact feels that the failure could recur at any moment. The current mileage was 70,000 and failure mileage was 60,000. Updated 02/02/09. The contact stated when opening the trunk the trunk lid pistons allowed the trunk to stay upright, were not locking properly, and the trunk lid fell down. The vehicle has not been seen by a dealer. Updated 02/06/06.
