This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Consumer complained of a vehicle speed control problem. Brake would not work, vehicle revved, and did not stop, vehicle over accelerated, causing it to Ram into another vehicle.
The brakes were not operating and were making noise when they were applied. Consumer picked up the vehicle after repairs, and while pulling out the brakes failed once again. Took vehicle to dealer for repairs again, and results showed that the rotors were warped.
My car has had several failures in almost every aspect of the car. It has had 4 electrical failures, 3 brake failures, 4 mechanical, and 7 other problems. Basically the car has been a complete loss. I have been fighting Chrysler for 3 years and they refuse to help at all. I feel at 60,000 my car is completely unsafe to drive. It has caused one accident in which I still have neck problems. For more information please see my website at www.postalhistorystore.Chrysler.htm thank you!
We have replaced the brakes and pads several times in the past 2 years. The brakes only last 3-4 months then they go out and crumble in the hand of the mechanics. There is a definate problem here and we would like some assistants in the correction of it. Please contact me at the given address or phone number. Thank you.
Was traveling approx. 20-25mph when traffic was backed up. Applied brakes which fail to stop vehicle. Rearended another vehicle.air bags failed to deploy upon impact. Sustained no injuries.
When brakes are applied pedal goes to the floor and then returns. Problem has occurred 3 times. Dealers replaced brake rotors master cylinder and pads, but problem remains.
