At least 7 times the Van was stalling the speed on highway, I have to stop the vehicle on side of road. Completely bring down to stop and after a minute I have to start the vehicle again. Then it will run for 20 miles and then again same problem. I was too scary to drive in the nighttime on highway like this. This is my first long trip on the highway.

We were driving from Columbus, OH to Pittsburg.
At least 7 times the Van was stalling the speed on highway, I have to stop the vehicle on side of road. Completely bring down to stop and after a minute I have to start the vehicle again. Then it will run for 20 miles and then again same problem. I was too scary to drive in the nighttime on highway like this. This is my first long trip on the highway.
Check engine light was ON
How to fix this? any suggestions?
