The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist and that the NHTSA could require them to install the spare tire kit inside the vehicle. On three separate occasions while driving at various speeds, the contact's steering wheel would shake without warning as one of his tires would become defective. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to a dealer where they replaced the rear passenger side tire due to an internal band failure. The second time, the same failure occurred with the rear driver side tire as an independent mechanic replaced that tire. Soon after the second replacement, the front passenger side tire also experienced that same failure. The contact then decided to replace all four tires. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. All tires were replaced. Each tire that failed were original tires.The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
