We bought the car from a dealer on 5/6/23 and it died one month later. Check engine light came on after two weeks and we ran the diagnostic tool on it to get a code P0303. It said to flip the plugs and run it again to see if the code came up for another cylinder you switched it to and it did. We replaced the plugs and drove it for another weeks and it came on again. All of this time we kept having to fill it with antifreeze. Finally the thing died completely and we had it towed to our mechanic who took off the head and found antifreeze in the cylinder 3 and in the oil pan. the car had what he called a hyrolock. We are replacing the head and the gasket but finding the gasket is hard because everybody is having the same problem. Apparently this head gasket was blown. It then goes into the oil pan and creates a sludge instead of oil and then the cylinders can't move and your engine locks up. My husband worked for years at Chrysler transmission plant and when they ran into a defective part they were told to use it and go on the next one on the line so that made that transmission defective and they knew it. The same happened here and find it very disturbing at the least. Now with no warranty and a bad engine we are looking at $5000. to $10000 to fix it and on a retiree's budget it ain't pretty! The final number is yet to be determined . So far $534 for a presure check on the heads.
