The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated while driving 30-35 MPH, the vehicle made an abnormal beeping sound. The message "Stop Safely - Vehicle will shut off soon" was displayed, and the vehicle stalled. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle was able to restart, and the contact continued driving. The contact stated that the failure had previously occurred while her husband was driving at an undisclosed speed. The contact's husband was able to pull to the side of the road, and the vehicle was able to restart after an extended period. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed as a low voltage failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: PE22008 (Power Train). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 73,692.

On [XXX], my vehicle produced a large red wrench and a turtle warning on a busy highway and I was forced to pull to the side with my [XXX] son in the car, as the vehicle lost motive power. It was towed to the dealer and after several days, they told me the issue was due to normal wear and tear in the transmission. I had to escalate to a service manager to even get a diagnosis after 5 days in the shop. I believe my transmission issue is due to a failure of the fix implemented in the 03A/NHTSA 23V-010 recall. It has been documented that the software update did not fix the issue. My vehicle experienced the exact series of failures described in the recall. Chrysler is refusing to fix my vehicle, even though they had extended the warranty on my Pacifica to unlimited miles/unlimited years because of all of the transmission issues the model has experienced. I would appreciate it if someone could look into this and Chrysler's unwillingness to stand behind their products and provide fixes for their recalls that work. The hybrid battery coolant heater (part 68443445AC) was confirmed a problem, however the dealership wont review ANY recalls on my vehicle until I pay $1700 to replace that part. However, there are MULTIPLE incidents online showing this is a problem with this vehicle and should be a recall as this is obviously defective within the first 150000 miles. My car has roughly 124K miles, making it just outside the warranty coverage. Shortly before this lamp warning (check engine) came on my steering wheel started "sticking" making it hard to steer in a curve, causing me to veer off the road. Within 7 days of this happening, is when my check engine light appeared, throwing code POE15. The heat now also takes much longer to warm up- like 30 minutes longer. The dealership said none of the issues are connected, however after online research I have determined that is not true.

The contact owns a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that since 2019, the "Auto START/STOP feature unavailable" message was displayed on the instrument panel. Due to the failure, the vehicle intermittently failed to start, the vehicle was jerking and hesitating while depressing the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle also shut-off unintendedly while driving at various speeds. The vehicle had been towed to a dealer on several occasions and the auxiliary and the main batteries replaced; however, the failure returned approximately a year and a half later. To prevent the failure from recurring, the contact disabled the Auto START/STOP feature to prevent the vehicle from stalling. The contact stated that numerous repairs had been performed on the vehicle and that the only other solutions would be to replace the transmission, perform a software update or replace a possible unknown sensor. Additionally, the contact stated that while turning off the vehicle there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was given a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.

I have a Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid which has had multiple recalls for the battery causing fires with no resolution. The NHTSA website said to submit a complaint "If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner". The most recent recall was in July without resolution but the battery has been recalled multiple times over the last few years without actual fix being done.

Vehicle just dies when you brake. This has now happened twice. Once in May 2024 and now Oct 2024. You have no steering and cannot be put into neutral or park. Must pull neutral cord to get pushed out of road. No codes pull up other than the neutral cord used. In May 2024 towed to dealer and they replaced starter but could not find anything else. In Oct 2024, took it to an independent car place and he could not find anything wrong, just re-boot computer. This is very dangerous; this is a handicap van modified for a wheelchair person to be put in through the back of the van. If I get hit in the back, I can't get my son out of the van. Extremely unsafe! I know the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica's were recalled for this and I believe the powertrain control module software was updated or the chip was replaced. This needs to be recalled for the 2018's also.

Chrysler has still not offered a remedy for this recall.the vehicle was purchased used and selling dealer did not provide recall info until the sale had been completed. I love the vehicle except the possible fire hazard in the recall makes me nervous to drive it. Chrysler told me earlier recalls were for this hazard but now says remedy is incomplete!!

The vehicle has stalled several times while driving and while at a stop light leaving the van completely disabled and it will not turn on or start again. My wife and 2 year old were put at risk when the vehicle stalled on them at a major intersection and my wife was unable to put the vehicle into parking or drive since there was no power after it stalled and dashboard lights flicked on and off multiple times.. Stall has also happened at drive thru almost causing collision with vehicle in front. The stall produces dashboard error messages reporting an internal transmission malfunction, auto start/stop error, and or a problem charging the battery. Certified ASE mechanics can-??t reproduce the issue or find anything to pin point the issue after multiple diagnostic tests ran and physical thorough inspection. Every time a stall happens loads of error codes (85+) pull up but none point to the root cause of stalling happening. Vehicle has most up to date software update done over a year ago.

My vehicle was performing great - no Issues what so ever until FCA performed Recall 03A. After I had FCA US LLC Recall 03A for Loss of Motive Power installed; my vehicle had several issues the same day I picked it up from the Dealer. They stated it was ready for pickup even with all my issues and they new I had ? of them and still turned it over to me.. 50 % of the issues are still waiting to be repaired. The Major issue remaining is the High Voltage Battery. After 1 year of them trying to get the vehicle back to the condition I turned it in before for the Recall - Chrysler refuses to replace the HV battery under the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty. They will not let anyone order the part even the dealer can not. To order the bad part Chrysler STAR (FCAs part replacement approval authority) has to Approve it. They say they won't replace it due to normal degradation. I was getting 30 miles per full charge and after the Recall I was only getting18-20 Miles per full charge. That is Not normal degradation. Now I only get 17-18 miles per charge. They Degraded my battery with their Recall. The battery degraded by 33% in 2 weeks -?" that is Not normal their Recall caused it. I feel someone needs to enforce them to put my vehicle back the the same as I turned it over to them September 26, 2023 at their Expense no matter what it takes. The following is the list of issues in the past year because of Recall 03A. Basically my vehicle was in the shop for repairs Almost the Entire year! 1. Engine Lite is on all the time since Recall. 2. Charging System Errors. 3. Gear Selector does not work intermittently making undrivable. 4. Side doors and lift gate do not open or close automatically. 5. Radio Display keeps flashing intermittently 6. Back Up Camera flash on and off. 7. Every lite on the dash lights up - Giving my vehicle Multiple CANBUS Errors shorting out every computer system in the vehicle 20+ computers.

Purchased vehicle used and have put on miles. But since day 1 issues have been arising. First the Auto stop/start function stopped, 2 years later still unable to find the fix. More recent the gear shift just doesn-??t work/turn on randomly or turns off while driving which is a safety concern. Now for the past 2 months the gear shift will not work or while driving the vehicle just loses acceleration and braking and slows to a stall and I can-??t do anything until the gear shift turns back. I had 3 children on [XXX] when this started putting all our lives in danger. We were stuck for 2 hours the vehicle ran but was not drivable. Every mechanic says something different and it is a luck of the draw if the vehicle will work when you try it. Batteries all tested good. No obvious other issues other than loss of power steering for a short time. All warning lights flashing on and off randomly but it coincides with the loss of driving capabilities. I just want to be done with this vehicle it-??s dangerous and now I-??m stuck with it. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2018 Pacifica with multiple similar issues. August 2018 - Recall - Reprogram Powertrain Control module May 1019 - Recall fixes (Power steering and ball joint). July 2021 - start/stop light came on - took to dealership and they replaced the battery for that system. Feb 2022 - Recall customer satisfaction notification 1 Y65 July 2022 - ISSUES begin - Cylinder misfire - and car would not start and was smoking. Van was towed to dealership. The dealership had the van for 2 months and had a difficult time really diagnosing the issue. They ended up replacing the right Cylinder head - which is a major part of the engine. Just being over the 60,000 mile mark, we had to fight with Chrysler to honor the warranty on this very expensive fix. Spark plugs were also changed at that time. August 2024 - check engine light is back on, as well as the automatic start/stop button. We took to Auto zone and the diagnosis was Cylinder 6 misfire. All along we have felt there should have been a recall on this van. Is it an electrical issue that is failing? Searching online there are a lot of these complaints about Cylinder misfiring issues with this year/model. It also looks like there may have been a class action lawsuit as well. A 4 year old van should not need a major engine repair. Now here we are 2 years later with a 6 year old van and having a similar issue. We are worried it is going to be another costly fix. We have had nothing but issues with this van and it is unacceptable, especially regarding a brand new car. We have all our receipts indicating appropriate and timely oil changes and transmission flushes, etc from the dealer.

While driving on the highway, the car suddenly had a flash of start/stop system and then car stalled as soon as I moved to the exit lane. Once I stalled I had to stop car. Wait several minutes, and try to restart car. After several attempts and me blocking busy traffic, it restarted. This happened repeatedly even after technician said they cleared codes.

While driving on a 4-lane highway, I received a message on the dashboard "Vehicle will shut off soon". I had just a few seconds before power to the vehicle was limited. The engine stopped working and another message was displayed: "Battery Conditioning Leave Ignition in Run." After that the car would no longer move and I was in the middle of the right lane. Luckily I could get my children out safely. The vehicle was towed to the local Chrysler dealership where it is waiting for repair.

Frequently replacing axillary battery due to a power draw from the sliding drivers side passenger door. The door has a short in the wiring that has killed the battery and drained the main battery no less than 6 times since owning this since brand new in 2018. Vehicle had been stranded on roadways twice, gas station line once, and parking lots three times due to this short in the passenger door. Since removing the fuse for this door we have had no issues, except the sliding power door is now a manual door.
