My daughter and her husband sat in the third row just to see if it was as good as their FORD. Right away the complaint was that riding any distance in that row of seats would not be pleasant. I could tell that they were swaying and bobbing all over the place (as viewed from the rear view mirror). There were only 4 of us in the car. Our 05 Pacifica Touring was just the opposite. In the 05 Pacifica the 3rd row seats were deluxe comfort with any number of passengers. Later , we drove with the 17 Pacifica, all seats full. Same experience only worse. I haven't taken the car in to the dealer yet with this complaint. The handling and steering is not the same with passengers in the 3rd row seats. It gets a little weird. I haven't tried it on the open road with passengers in the back . Not sure I want that experience until I get it checked out.
Update from Jan 28, 2018: 26 January the dealer tested the situation and advised that it is what it is, with no fix offered. No comment was offered regarding the safety issue, that is, feeling the sway in the steering. The suspension was checked . The dealer was advised that our 05 Pacifica cornered well and was very sound in the steering, unlike this (2017) model.
