Problem 1. Service airbag light. We bought our brand new 2017 Pacifica the summer of 2017. Within a month, we took the van in to the dealership due to the service airbag light. They told us they couldn-??t replicate the issue so they couldn-??t fix the issue. The van has been having the same issue for the past 7 years, the service airbag light randomly popped on especially in the summer/winter when hitting a bumper or making a sharp turn. We took the van in numerous times but they couldn-??t detect any issue or read any code due to it. Recently months, it has happened a lot more often, finally we are notified the issue was due to the faulty occupant restrain module which could cause the airbag not to deployed during an accident or to deploy during a normal driving. Problem 2. U0001 Can bus issue. The check engine light would randomly be on and gives a U0001 code. Sometimes it would affect the drivability of the car. The car stalled on us at a red light. The car couldn-??t accelerate after pressing the brake and made loud noise when press the gas at a very busy traffic situation. The car-??s rpm got stuck when driving. The mentioned above randomly happened numerous times in the past but more often during recently years. If you research on the website called Pacifica forum, you will see a lot of canbus issues with the 2017 Pacifica making this family van a hazard or death trap. My service airbag issue might or might not due to the can bus. After 7 years, thousands of dollars spent, so much runarounds from the dealership, we still don-??t have an answer. Here-??s the website I mentioned. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Losing power like the vehicle is in limp mode. Flashes the -??service lights-?? for multiple things including shifter, airbags, breaking system, etc. it has set the park break while in motion as well. When a computer is attached is brings up can c bus codes and implausible assisted driving codes. Also will not go into reverse when this is happening. Sometimes the shifter doesn-??t work either.

My sliding door came off the hinge and shatter my backwindow. The door was hesitating and would not close it stood stuck. When I pulled it the back window shattered. I have no warranty it's now an out of pocket expense. My airbag light is on when I took it to the dealership for a diagnostic they said I was missing a piece that I actually found and when I told them I found it they said it's damage and they can't do anything to help.

REPEATED, VIDEO DOCUMENTED OCCURENCES OF VEHICLE STALLING, LOSING POWER STEERING, AND LOSING ALL DRIVER-ASSIST FEATURES, TO INCLUDE TRACTION CONTROL, BLIND SPOT MONITORING, POWER STEERING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, AIRBAGS, AND OTHER SYSTEMS. THE PROBLEM HAS REPEATEDLY OCCURRED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION; HAS OCCURRED ON A HIGHWAY AS WELL AS IN PARKING LOTS. THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY EXHIBIT 'HAYWIRE' BEHAVIOR, WHICH INCLUDES FUEL AND POWER GAUGES RANDOMLY FLUCTUATING UP AND DOWN, AND ALL ABOVE SAFETY SYSTEM WARNINGS INTERMITTEDLY INDICATING THEY ARE OFFLINE. IN EXTREME SCENARIOS, POWER STEERING WILL BE LOST. ADDITIONALLY, IN ONCE SCENARIO, THE 'HAYWIRE' BEHAVIOR PRECLUDED THE ABILITY TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF WITHOUT RESORTING TO DISCONNECTING HARD-WIRE BATTERY CONNECTIONS. MULTIPLE VIDEOS HAVE BEEN MADE DOCUMENTING THE BEHAVIOR. PREVIOUS ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE WITH MANUFACTURER RESORTED IN NO CORRECTIVE ACTION DUE TO 'FAILURE TO DUPLICATE' THE ISSUE, DESPITE HAVING VIDEO SHOWING THE OCCURRENCE. ORIGINALLY BROUGHT TO DEALER AND NHTSA ATTENTION IN 2020 (NHTSA COMPLAINT #11292415). DEALER HAS DONE NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND IN THE PAST WEEK THE ISSUE HAS RECURRED, NOW MORE CONSISTENTLY THAN THE INCIDENT PREVIOUSLY REPORTED. WITHIN THE PAST WEEK, THE VEHICLE HAS STALLED TWICE, RESULTING IN COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING. THE "HAYWIRE" BEHAVIOR CONTINUES, WITH PERSISTENT WARNINGS AND LOSS OF ESSENTIAL SYSTEMS, AND THE "HAYWIRE" BEHAVIOR INCREASES DISTRACTIONS BY IMPOSING FALSE BLINDSPOT WARNING INDICATOR LIGHTS AND INTERMITTENTLY CHANGING BRIGHTNESS OF THE ENTIRE ELECTRONIC DISPLAYS AT RANDOM, AS WELL AS PERSISTENT AND INTERMITTENT LOSS OF FUNCTIONALITY OF ESSENTIAL SAFETY SYSTEMS, INCLUDING AIRBAGS AND OTHER DRIVER SAFETY FEATURES. VIDEOS OF THE BIZARRE, "HAYWIRE BEHAVIOR" ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Air bag sensor light continued to come on and the dealership determined that the air bag sensor in the passenger seat was malfunctioning. The notification stated, "your vehicle's air bag warning light recently indicated the air bag system may not be working properly. The air bags in your vehicle might not inflate in a collision, or they could inflate without a collision if you do not get the required service. Have your vehicle checked at your dealership." The replacement would cost over $300. Our Chrysler Pacifica is just out of warranty as it is a 2017 with 43,000 miles on it, so this sensor issue would not be covered. This seems like a possible recall considering it happened in a vehicle only 2.5 years old.

I was involved in a injury causing accident in my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. My van was struck on the driver side front quarter panel and sustained significant damage there. There was no front impact. My front airbag and side airbag did not deploy. I was in motion and so was the other vehicle which was a F150. I do not know the speed of the other vehicle but my speed was about 15.why wouldn't my airbag deploy?

Was involved in a passenger side impact collision while in motion on a city street and the side air bags did not deploy. In fact as a result of the collision, all electronics when haywire. Windows would not roll up/down, display on radio said something like no service, lights were blinking, and the car would not turn off. Impact occurred just behind the passenger front wheel and all the way to the rear wheel. Seems like the electronics could be better protected in a side impact collision. Luckily, there were no passengers on that side of the van. I was actually on my way to pick up the kids from school.
