The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle was able to restart. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality; however, the failure recurred while driving, and the vehicle independently shifted to park(P). The immobilizer warning light was illuminated. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 23V010000 (Electrical System, Hybrid Propulsion System) and 18V049000 (Electrical System, Engine and Engine Cooling) that were previously performed on the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Additionally, the contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the vehicle shuddered and experienced low idling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed. The dealer determined that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V740000 (Hybrid Propulsion System, Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated while driving 75 MPH, the check engine warning light was illuminated, and there was a burning odor coming from the A/C vents. The contact veered to the side of the road and noticed that the burning odor was also coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the catalytic converter and oxygen sensors needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V740000 (Hybrid Propulsion System, Engine and Engine Cooling) in 2018. The contact stated that the recall remedy was not effective. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed; however, the dealer declined to provide diagnostic information to the contact after several attempts. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 68,849.

The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the battery level was low and the warning message stating to plug in the vehicle to charge and to decelerate was illuminated. The vehicle stalled and lost motive power; however, the contact was able to pull over. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle several times. The contact stated that the vehicle started up for several minutes but then stalled. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle needed to be charged for a full day, but no failure was found. The mechanic at the dealer had experienced the vehicle unintendedly accelerating. The dealer stated that the failure would be reported to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was contacted but stated that there was no record of the failure. The failure mileage was 39,947.
