My husband decided to test the forward collision warning system one day while we were driving. We tried it on stop and go freeway traffic as well as city streets. The warning system did not work as described in any of these settings. There were no warning sounds or lights when we were too close to another vehicle and I think it only auto braked once, but again no warning or lights. This is our first car with the FCW system and I wasn't sure what to expect, but to have absolutely nothing happen tells me this system is broken. I became certain that the system is broken today when I was driving alone and in very light traffic with no other cars near me and the system started flashing and making noises at me for no reason and telling me to break.
This car is terrible and this is the 3rd serious problem I have experienced since we purchased it less than six months ago.
