This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Rear engine mounts are defective in vehicle, the engine is shifting within the car causing it to hit the transmission. Additionally, the control arm within the car is broken and loose. There was a recall on the 2008 Chrysler Pacifica for the same problem because the driver can loose control of the vehicle while in operation. My 2007 is currently being looked at for this issue. Cause as stated by mechanic: Internal failure of the steering gear and both lower control arms bushings broken and loose.
