The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact was driving approximately 35 mph with the parking brake engaged unknowingly from the prior day. The parking brake light illuminated on the instrument panel. The parking brake was disengaged, followed by an abrupt stop. The vehicle failed to proceed in a forward direction. The gear was shifted into reverse and then into the drive position. The vehicle was able to continue normally. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection.
