The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle veered slightly to the left. The vehicle then headed down a ravine and drove across the shoulder into the northbound lane. There was no crash. The contact took his vehicle to a mechanic shop and was informed that all of the alignment adjuster bolts on the rear wheels were loose. He stated that the rear wheels had not been aligned prior to the failure. The failure mileage was 52,300.
When placed in reverse, car would not move. Gave a little gas and heard a loud pop. Found 3-4" piece of tempered metal on ground. After looking under the car, realized that the rocker arm on rear drivers side wheel had broken in 2 places.
