This is my third catalytic converter!!!! One at 35K, another at 50K and now another at 99K. Told this was a problem and now they have an "enhanced" converter that fixes the problem. Seems this has been a defect on the car. Chrysler needs to reimburse or pay for the new converter.
At 33K had to have my catalytic replaced, then at 49K and now at 84K broke again. What's up with this? Is it a cheap part they are putting in or is there something in my vehicle that is causing it to fail? Why can't they fix it. I understand a CC is supposed to be warrantied for 100K???
Update from May 6, 2021: Here we go again...fourth catalytic converter at 122K. Second 02 sensor. Mechanic says that the vehicle should have 2-4 catalytic converters on it....only has one.....design fault. Love my vehicle otherwise.
had to replace converter twice within two months. mechanic stated we may have to purchase the original part for $900 +. why have a replacement part available if it is not going to do the job. seems like their may be a conspericy by the automarket to purchase original parts. we have to have the converter, right.
