While driving our boys to their dentist appointment yesterday on a highway, the drivers seat began to move forward and back rest went all the way down without no one touching the buttons on the door to control driver seat. When I began to readjust to fix drivers seat went back and forward again on its own. Now my knees are on the dash and my back rest is all the way back and it will not go back into place. Needless to say I nearly crashed because the the seat malfunction and moving on its own while I was on a busy highway with my family.
I serviced my car at Chrysler March 2015 and had over $2500 worth of work done after their 360 check up and all work was under warranty. I go tomorrow back to Chrysler 6/17/15 to have them diagnose the issue. I was told by the mechanic that he sees this issue all the time with this model but company has not recalled on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica yet but they have on 2004 Chryslers. I was told not enough people complain or put in a consumers report. I was also told this is very, very expensive to fix. :( after investing over $2500 this past March and maintaining my vehicle this is very disappointing cause I am a responsible person and feeling like I should just get rid of this vehicle but I can not afford to now. :(
